Staying Active
Being active for 30 minutes a day is important for physical health, and also for our mental wellbeing. It can help reduce stress levels and risks of heart disease, as well as improve joint mobility and bone strength which are important to keep you moving as you get older. Adults should aim to do at least 150 minutes of activity a week. This can be broken down into: 30 minutes of gentle activity a day, that gets you out of breath. Spread this over 5 days. 20 minutes of hard activity that makes you sweat and find it difficult to talk. Spread this out over 4 days.
