Great work, you are already making your move in loads of ways each day. Extra energy, better sleep and improved mood are all benefits you are hopefully feeling from all the moving you are doing.
Try adding in a few higher intensity 10-minute bursts in to your every day, to make you out of breath and keep that heart rate up. Or even a new activity to mix things up and keep the enjoyment up in being active.
Head to our Activities page to find Your Move.
Being active for 30 minutes a day is important for physical health, and also for our mental wellbeing. It can help reduce stress levels and risks of heart disease, as well as improve joint mobility and bone strength which are important to keep you moving as you get older. Adults should aim to do at least 150 minutes of activity a week. This can be broken down into: 30 minutes of gentle activity a day, that gets you out of breath. Spread this over 5 days. 20 minutes of hard activity that makes you sweat and find it difficult to talk. Spread this out over 4 days.
